| Terere equipment hidden in the tree whole. |
In Paraguay cold Mate (Terere) is extremely popular. In Asuncion many people are walking around with the cup, spoon and the thermos. Seriously, so many people, bread seller, taxi driver, bank Clark, even the policemen on duty has all his mate equipment at hand. I tried it and I like it. It is delicious.
Diana introduce me also to Paraguayan soup. It is a cake. There is a story that the local ruler asked for his favourite soup. The lady cooker overcooked a soup and she did not have time to prepare new one. The only way was to bake it and serve it as a solid cake. She also managed to convinced the ruler that it is a typical Paraguay soup. The ruler liked and and the name stayed like this.
